Given the fruitfulness of the gospel through your life and ministry, you are invited to attend the Ascent Curators Gathering next March 19-20, 2025 in Alexandria, VA. This invitation-only recommendation was given by a current member of the Ascent Council or by a 2024 participant in the Ascent Curators Gathering. Last Spring, approximately 120 leaders from across the church in North America gathered to imagine a new season of mission. Following a powerful experience with one another, we discerned the need to add another circle of invitations that would help give shape and voice to the growing movement among us.

Ascent was born by church leaders from multiple denominational (and non-denominational) traditions. Gathered around the theological and missiological posture of the Capetown Commitment, our vision is the linking of like-minded and common-hearted Christians around the goal of engaging our increasingly Post-Church, Post-Christian context with the gospel. You have been identified as someone who would bring important insight into a series of conversations around this new kind of missional “connectionalism” for the church in North America.

We will gather at First Baptist Alexandria and Old Town Community Church, just across the river from Washington D.C. We will begin at approximately 9.30 am on March 19th and end at approximately 4.30 pm on March 20th. We are working on an optional welcome reception on March 18th in the evening. Alexandria, VA is conveniently located a few short metro stops from the Reagan National Airport.

We are asking each invited participant to cover the cost of their own travel and lodging. We have negotiated discounted hotel rates for your convenience and those options are listed below. Ascent will cover the cost of on-site food, coffee, snacks, etc. during the gathering.

While there is no cost to participate in the Ascent Curators Gathering, we ask that each person planning to attend complete the registration by clicking below.
